At sixteen Will was already a British National Champion, having secured the BRSCC T-Car Championship in 2004, with 16 poles, 14 wins, and 6 new lap records from 18 starts. His ambition for the 2006/7 season was to perform well in the Formula Renault Championships, which he certainly did, securing 3rd place and named British Racing Drivers' Club 'Rising Star'.
